This book is a first person interview directly with Ed Warren. In it, he recounts the story of Annabelle the demonic doll.It is a nice summary of the case for those who do not know the story, but does not go into as much detail as other accounts
This story is in the "creepy clown doll" category, even though it's "Raggedy Ann."The interview format works pretty well, especially since the interviewer is hip about the whole genre, and doesn't ask stupid questions. No "woo-woo" factor here, just Lorraine Warren answering questions and telling the story, in her matter-of-fact way. Wish I had been there! Only 4 stars because it's too short!
I bought this to learn more about the infamous Annabelle doll. I was aware it was the transcript of an interview, however I hoped for some context or background. This is very short and you can probably find it online for free honestly.
Great place to start learning about Ed and Lorraine. Written in interviewer format. This book really set the unsettling mood. *Read it (Alone) at night*.Though WAY to short. Wanted to learn more about their experiences. Ended up buying more of their books because of this one.
It is in interview format, so it wont pull you in like a story. Sometimes I'm disturbed by Ed Warren's susinct style as he doesnt explain in detail sometimes and seems to assume you know what he knows. Not sure the Shaman thing jibes with the Faith. He doesnt explain why he did what he did. Kind of frustrating.
Recorded, then transcribed, the author interviews Ed Warren regarding the story of the doll, from its being gifted to the young nurse until the Warrens took it to their museum.
I love anything that has to do with the Warren family. found it very interesting that the Annabelle movie showed it as an doll including the conjuring did as well actually it was a raggedy Ann doll. I think the Warrens did a wonderful service for people
It was like reading a conversation between a person tired of explaining a demon was playing puppet and a person coaxing aunt Jude to retell those Woodstock stories. You get the facts with no story telling. It was perfect for me.
