This is really a stunning book, especially for $16!! How can they do that? Measuring 10 x 11 in. it is plenty big and the color reproductions are as good as any I have seen. Many of the color reproductions utilize the full page, something many other art book producers would do well to emulate. At four times this price I would give this book my very best recommendation. If you are looking for a book on Klimt, buy this one. You will be very satisfied at the level of quality you are getting!
This is a great book. This book is filled with beautiful photos of Gustav Klimt's works of art.
I ordered this while traveling to Vienna and after viewing many of Klimt's masterpieces at the Belvedere Gallery. When it arrived I was very pleased with the layout of the book. It puts his work in context of his overall artistic development and his major influencers. With text about the life and work of the artist supplementing the reproductions and photos of Klimt and his models this is a wonderful overview of the life and work of this important artist.
Like Klimt's wild paintings
I have bought several Klimt books in the past and this is one of my favorites, a true treasure of jewels. What I would do to have walked around in his day in Vienna and been able to gaze on his work as it was freshly placed on the walls - listened to the opinions of his work, and hopefully met the man face to face.As is, a book such as this will continue to raise my inspiration for such a unique, fantastically creative artist.

I ordered this book after a recent trip to Vienna introduced me to Klimt. I just received it last night and as I flipped through I wanted to rip dozens of the pictures out so that I could stick them in frames and be able to enjoy seeing them on the walls of my apartment every day. But I didn't want to ruin the book. Then I realized, for a mere $15, I could just order another book, so I'd have one to keep and one to rip apart.
